  • We're Back!

    Johnny, Jack and I made it back to California safe and sound. We rolled into the apartment at around 9 p.m. last night, exhausted! I bathed Jack, fed him a pre-bedtime snack (since he'd eaten dinner and fallen asleep on the plane) and put him to bed. Then I unpacked only the essentials, made a quick dinner for me and Johnny, and we practically fell asleep as soon as we'd eaten. As we predicted, Jack woke up at 3 a.m. this morning -- which would be 6 a.m. his body time (because we were in the Eastern time zone all last week). He did go back to bed but woke up for real at 5 a.m.! Johnny got up to play with him until 6 a.m., when I took over and Johnny got ready for work.

    So, as always, it's been a rough transition back to the real world! I've gotten a lot done at work today, though. Now, one thing that does help ease the transition from vacay back to the grind is to look back on some sunny vacation photos. So, here are some that I didn't get to post last week:

    Now I'm going to work on catching up on the posts I missed. If I don't get to yours, please forgive me -- it's always so hard to read all the posts that have accumulated during a vacation!

    looks like jack is gonna have lots of cousins to hang out with as he grows up. i especially like the picture of jack in the stroller. he's soooo cute!

  • Hard to believe Jack is already a year old! Time goes way too fast.... Looks like you guys had a great vacation and that Jack had a wonderful birthday. By the way you look amazing for just having Jack a year ago. I wish my body would come back like that lol.

  • Happy Belated Birthday to Jack! I can't believe how fast a year goes. He's such a cutie!

    The pictures don't do the belly the justice. I haven't been able to fit into regular pants since I was 6 weeks pregnant! My main concern is stretch marks (Although I guess that's natural... who would want them, right?) So far I've been using Cocoa Butter and it's doing well for the time being, but who knows.

    I'm so glad you had a great vacation. I agree.... transitioning to real life really sucks!!!!

  • Welcome back! Although I know you'd probably rather still be on vacation You don't have very long left at work though!!! The pictures are adorable...you look GREAT! Your stomach is so flat Glad you guys had a good time.

  • I have to go back to packing, but just wanted to say that these pictures are great! Jack looks so happy on the beach, much better behaved than Miso when we took her there this last weekend! Anyway, I'll post some pictures soon but I'm a little overwhelmed with moving and going out of town almost every weekend!
