Earning His Keep
Johnny and I don't believe in freeloading, so in exchange for all his clothes, food, baby gear and entertainment, Jack has started cleaning up after himself.
Gotta get 'em started young. Kids these days, they have it too easy, you know?

After all that sweeping, Jack got to eat some vegetables.
And since he'd done such a good job, we had some reading time. I look so drugged out in the first picture, but it's a really cute one of Jack!

I think I have that book that you're reading Jack. I can't think of the name of it right now and it's up in Hannah's room..."I Love You Through and Through"? Would it be possible to borrow your kid? Hannah does NOT clean up (takes after her mom I guess). Although every once in awhile she gets in the mood and says, "Mommy, I clean up" and she starts putting things away. Great pictures
Cute picts!!! It's understandable you need a drink or two to keep you sane from being a stay at home mom.
I love it.....so how is it being a stay at home mom. Can i say I envy you right now because your able to stay at home.
when do you plan on having another?
Your little helper is SO cute! Can he help me clean my place next? In exchange, I'll give him veggies!! LOL. Those pictures are adorable and I love your UCLA shirt!

@shelly1196 - Yup, it's "I Love You Through and Through"! I think that book is so cute. And yes, you can borrow my kid, but you might want to reconsider. I didn't post the pics of the aftermath of Jack pulling the broom out from the utility closet in the kitchen ... stuff scattered everywhere!
@jasmin Dookram - Jassy, being a SAHM is great! Sometimes juggling the contracting work is stressful, but I feel really fortunate to be able to do this. As for when we're having another, we'll probably try sometime next year, aiming for a baby in 2010. You?
@Kbecky07 - Jack is happy to clean for you anytime. Be careful, though, your floors might be swept, but Jack will make a variety of other messes to compensate!
Thanks about the UCLA shirt -- it's actually from the Victoria's Secret Pink line! They make shirts for a bunch of schools. You should check 'em out online to see if your school's one of the ones they make shirts for!
he is soooooooooo adorable! What a good little helper! LOL
tell him he can come over and clean ANYTIME.
What's Jack doing with an old-school broom? Get that kid some Swiffer sweepers! Then his cleaning can be especially productive.
lol lov it
What a cutie pie! Holden loves to sweep and Lucas even got a kid vacuum cleaner one year because he loved helping with that. I hope they want to clean when they're 16 too! LOL
LMBO! Yeah, kids have it easy these days. When I was 9 months old, I was cleaning out the fish tank...um, literally!
You don't look drugged...you're beautiful!
I love the pictures of story time.
@bevconeal - i see.....i totally forgot, you work "part-time" from home....but just to be able to do that and sahm, you must be over the moon. Wish you luck with anything you do...I'm thinking the same thing, some time next after his 2nd b-day.
uh yeah! I had Madi with the dishwasher at 6 months! Gotta earn your keep round here! I miss you guys! I'll be in L.A. (maybe this weekend) soon!!! I need my Jack (and Bev) time!
@dmonroe - How awesome would that be to hang out w/you! I'm running the half marathon this weekend at Disney, though. But let me know when you're going to be up here!!
Oh, and Jack's a pro at starting the dishwasher, too. Maybe it's not always full or doesn't have soap in it or has all the wrong settings when he starts it, but I'm sure he means to be helpful, right??
Cute pics! I love Jack's monkey jammies - I just ordered that same pair for Alex last week.
How did I miss this?! This is soooo cute! I can definitely see the resemblance. =)
Awww that is soooo cute!
